The welcome blurb says what this site is for. It is a home base: the TikTok and YouTube work that takes apart history and culture is here too, and so is everything sitting behind it. Intellectual work needs somewhere to be done from and an audience already willing to meet it - the videos built the second, this is the first. Documents for Edification now sits under Learning, where it belongs, rather than beside it.

Start Here is the first door and says so; Learning holds the second two. The claim became two claims, since the essays on historical consciousness make a different one - a claim has a person underneath it, and a moment underneath it as well. Where to Begin now sends you three ways depending on what you actually came for: to learn, to watch, or to argue.

Learning now opens on Blake - create a system or be enslaved by another man's - and says plainly what it is: an initiation into a system somebody built on purpose, in the line of cultural criticism that runs from Vico through Kant, Hegel, Marx, Deleuze and Foucault. It splits into two doors from there. Everything that used to be on this page is now behind the first one.

Historical Consciousness opened, with the first two essays: the introduction, and Time-Consciousness. More are coming and the earlier ones will change as the later ones find problems in them.

The NO COOKIES badge is gone from the footer. Essay images load from imgur, where they live, with a compressed copy of each kept here and wired up to take over if imgur ever stops answering.

Pages written entirely by a machine now say so at the foot of the page. Four of them: Start Here, Learning, Videos and Corrections. The positions on those pages are mine; the sentences are not, and the notice says which is which. Pages without the notice were written by hand, and the video transcripts carry their own notice already. The notice ends on Tractatus 6.54 - the ladder to be thrown away once it has been climbed - which is what these pages are, and more literally than Wittgenstein meant it.

The epigraph is no longer fixed. The home page draws a quotation at random on every load from 428 taken from Wikiquote, and the heading above it is a word out of that quotation rather than a label written over it. Only the author's own words are used - Wikiquote keeps other people's remarks about a subject on the same page, and the first pass had been serving Einstein and Goethe on Spinoza as though they were Spinoza. Nothing is generated when the page loads; the list is fixed and the browser only picks from it.

A Learning page, setting the manuscript inside the work it was preparation for - machine vision and political life, bureaucracy and AI as one apparatus, propaganda after the image stopped being evidence. The Sprawl now appears there as one part of that rather than as the whole thing. Two link bars at the top in place of one.

vocabulary
Every page on the site now carries an explicit Title Case title. Most notes had none at all, so what a page was called depended on how the filename was read. Proper names keep their own spelling.

Tables of contents inside a document no longer open a new tab. The links were written out as full misteramazing.org addresses, which the site read as leaving the site; they are now plain fragments, and the rule that opens new tabs was taught the difference.

The scripts page is gone. It held one script and promised the rest; the transcripts do that job now.

The channel is on the site. Every video is listed with its date, length and view count, and twenty-two of them carry a transcript pulled from the captions - machine-made, timestamped, and labelled as such on every page. Nothing is embedded and no image is hotlinked, so the page loads without telling anyone anything. The list refreshes itself daily from the channel's feed.

The Sprawl is tiered. Each section now names its load-bearing documents with a line saying what they are for; the rest sit under "also here"; outlines, plans and production apparatus are folded away under "workshop". The personal papers are pulled out of the manuscript's appendices and given their own section at the top, and the manuscript itself is now dated on the page as background written between 2021 and 2023.

Both the System and the Refutations renumbered so that their paragraphs run contiguously from one. The rewritten section on standpoint criticism is now numbered like every other section, the System absorbs its two inserted paragraphs, a long-standing gap at System 49 is closed, and a duplicated run of paragraph numbers in the Refutations is resolved. Every cross-reference in every document was repointed to match.

Unassailable Premises
→
Working Premises
"Unassailable" claims a standing the document does not have and that a fallibilist position cannot claim. The premises are working premises, held until something better arrives.

Against the Standpoint Veto
The old heading named a topic the section was not about. The section concerns criticism made from social position, and now says so.

argument
Section rewritten. The claim that social position shapes what a writer can see is now accepted rather than resisted, since it follows from the finitude argument in the System. Only the unanswerable form of the criticism is resisted. Invective removed throughout.

argument
Paragraph 25 withdrawn and replaced. It had claimed that criticism from finitude and insularity was dissolved in advance by pragmatism. It was not, and the paragraph said so now.
/system

8/03/26
argument
Paragraphs 29 and 31 revised. A demonstration that an argument is invalid is now sufficient to require its revision, without practical supplement. Practical failure is what refutes the system as a whole; local failure refutes locally.

8/03/26
argument
Paragraph 30 added, stating four conditions under which the system should be considered refuted.

argument
Paragraph 49 added. The step from mutual intelligibility of terms to equal standing between persons is marked as a posit rather than a deduction. The argument for it is owed and has not been given.

Corrections page rewritten. Every policy is unchanged: nothing is taken down, corrections are public, a source is what makes a correction actionable. The framing around those policies was hostile to the people it was addressed to, and has been replaced.
